JIU Graduation Commencement -
June 28, 2013

Congratulations to the Jones International University Class of 2013

Message from our Chancellor

I’m proud to express my gratitude to each of you on your graduation from Jones International University. Why gratitude? Because you are now more ready to contribute to your own personal well being, and to the well being of your families, your communities, and your nation. In other words, all of us will benefit from your achievements and contributions. The two professions you represent, business and education, provide the foundation for a nation’s prosperity and stability.

Your education prepares you to conquer the challenges of today’s rapidly evolving and fast-paced technological era. You represent forty-six states in the United States, six countries around the world and multiple races and religions. You can be leaders who convert challenges into opportunities wherever you live and work. You can be leaders whose intelligence and experience benefit the lives of others.

I look forward to hearing about your accomplishments in the months and years ahead.  Again, congratulations to each of you and warmest best wishes.

Dr. Milton Goldberg
Chancellor

Be Part of YOUR Ceremony.

Graduation is a celebration of your achievements.  You’ve worked hard, put in long hours and made sacrifices.  We want you to be part of your online ceremony. The graduation theme this year is Foundations for Life. Upload a short video piece that speaks to how education has been/is one of the foundations for your life or speak to how it will continue to be a focal building block in your future.  You can also record a congratulatory message to your fellow graduates, thank a professor or family member who made your journey profound or share your plans for your JIU degree.  Your video will be featured on your yearbook profile and could also make it into the graduation ceremony video montage.

Remember to upload a photo and complete your graduate profile as well. We prefer headshots—professional if possible, no hats or sunglasses. Your photo will appear on-screen during the ceremony and on your yearbook profile.

Graduates who fully complete their profile will be entered to win an iPad Mini. Those who have a complete profile accompanied by a photo will be entered for a second iPad Mini and those who submit a video will be entered in a separate drawing for an iPad Mini. Submit everything and you’ll have three chances to win!
